TAKE CARE OF ME & I’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU.
In order to keep your Olivia Burton watch in its best condition, we strongly advise that you follow the below advice:
Q. My leather strap is showing signs of wear - is this normal?
A. The variations in colour and texture in our straps are characteristic of tanned leather and over time may darken, fade or change in colour. This is an attribute of the leather and not a defect, fault or quality issue.
In order to preserve the beauty of your leather we do recommend treating your leather strap with a leather protector before wear, as this can help leather to resist dirt and moisture.
We also recommend that you keep your leather strap away from intense sunlight, heat, water, humidity, makeup and perfume to prevent any damage or staining.
Straps are not covered under warranty but we do hold limited stock of replacement straps that are available to purchase.
Q. Are the straps interchangeable?
A. The straps in our gift sets have a special function on the back of the strap making them easily interchangeable at home.
The straps available on all other watches do not have this special lever function, and therefore cannot be easily changed at home. You can replace your strap but would need to visit a local jeweller for fitting.
Q. I want to buy a replacement strap - how can I do this?
A. Straps are available on our online store – take a look here!
Straps can be replaced as they are attached with spring bars - however we do recommend taking the watch and strap to an independent local jeweller who should be able to attach it easily and inexpensively.
We also offer a Vegan Friendly range of watches and straps that feature synthetic leather.
Q. Is my strap adjustable?
A. Links can be removed and added to our linked bracelet watches.
Our Big and Midi Dial bracelet styles can have a maximum of 3 links that can be removed from the bracelet.
Our Wonderland bracelet styles can have up to 8 links removed. You can add as many links as needed to any of our bracelet watches.
Extra links can be purchased for £5 each.
Position a flathead screwdriver or other adjustment tool in the slot on the clasp.
Lift the bar in the direction facing away from the straight pin. Ensure that the tool handle points towards the watch case.(Pressing the adjustment tool against the straight pin may bend and destroy it. Please take care when doing this.)
Slide the adjustable buckle to the desired position and finally press the clasp closed.
Q. The plating on my watch is showing signs of wear, is there anything I can do?
A. Olivia Burton use the best plating methods available but it is the nature of plating to wear over time especially when it comes into contact with body cream and perfumes. We always recommend removing your watch when it may come into contact with water, perfumes and body creams to help preserve its beauty.
Rose Gold plating by nature is less durable and will fade quicker over time.
Q. Is my watch waterproof?
A. Your watch is water resistant to 1ATM which is 10m (1 Bar).
We do recommend removing your watch before swimming or bathing because leather straps are less resistant when exposed to water frequently.
Although your watch is water resistant, we would advise removing before showering or entering a sauna. This is because extreme heat can cause watch seals to expand and create openings for water droplets to penetrate your watch.
Please note any water damage to your watch is not covered under warranty.
Q. My watch has condensation – what can I do?
A. If your watch experiences a sudden change in temperature or pressure, you may notice a condensation appearing under the crystal glass. This generally disappears by itself if left alone.
Please do not attempt to aid this by exposing your watch to heat to dry it out as this may damage the watch and will only cause the condensation to persist.
How do I know what size my watch is?
A. Our watches generally come in three different case sizes: Big Dial, Midi Dial and Mini Dial.
The Big Dial is 38mm in diameter.
The Midi Dial is 30mm in diameter.
The Mini Dial is 23mm in diameter.
Q. What is covered under the warranty?
A. Olivia Burton offer a limited warranty of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years after original purchase if purchased from an official Olivia Burton Stockist after 1st July 2016. If watches have been purchased prior to 1st July 2016, a one (1) year warranty is in place. The warranty does not cover batteries, glass, plating, straps or accidental damage caused by lack of care including water penetration.
Q. How long should my battery last?
A. The average battery life is 12 months. All watches come with a battery saver in the crown which needs to be removed to activate the battery. To activate the battery, remove the plastic tab and press the crown into the side of the case. If your watch has stopped working, it's likely the battery needs replacing. Any local independent jeweller will be able replace your battery.
We offer a chargeable battery replacement service. Please contact our Customer Relations team for more details.
Please kindly note that battery replacements are not covered under warranty.
Q. Do you offer a repair service?
A. If your watch requires attention, please contact our Customer Relations team by emailing email@example.com
We offer glass replacements for all sizes and styles. Our repairs team will be more than happy to provide a quote for any repair outside of warranty.

Q. How do I dispose of my watch safely?
A. Olivia Burton is pleased to be a member of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) compliance scheme run by Clarity Environmental Ltd. Our unique Producer Registration Number is WEEE/JD4078SZ. This requires countries to maximise separate collection and process electrical items in an environmentally friendly manner.
As part of the UK WEEE Regulations, all companies have a responsibility to their customers to offer like-for-like recycling on a free of charge basis. We are pleased to be able to offer all our customers a take-back service within 28 days of purchase and with the supply of proof of purchase.
Q. What is the best way to care for my Olivia Burton Jewellery?
When you’re not wearing your Olivia Burton jewellery, we recommend keeping them stored individually in the pouches that they arrived in. If you have our bracelets or necklaces, we recommend storing these with the chains fastened which will minimise any scratching or tangling.
Water can discolour jewellery, so we always recommend removing it before bathing, showering or swimming.
Avoid storing your jewellery in intense sunlight and away from contact with perfumes, make up, body and sun creams as they can cause plated items to tarnish.
Q. How should I clean my jewellery?
You will find that over time the silver may darken slightly, which is a natural characteristic of Sterling Silver. To revive your Sterling Silver jewellery, you can give it the occasional soft polish with a silver cloth. We do not recommend the use of any jewellery polishing cloths which have been treated with cleaners or polishing agents. For all other items, we recommend wiping with a soft dry cloth to help revive its shine.
Q. How does the adjustable chain mechanism on my necklace/bracelet work?
To adjust the length, simply take hold of the polished round ball on the adjustable fastening and slide up or down the chain until your necklace/bracelet is at the desired length.
Q: Are your earrings Sterling Silver?
All Olivia Burton earrings are made from a Sterling Silver base metal and are then either 18K Gold or Rose Gold plated.
